One Six Right

What a great aviation film. The team was invited to a private screening of this film in Seattle shown on the latest and greatest Sony HD digital K4 projector and it was spectacular. I get a bit emotional about airplanes and this film hit several nerves for me. When I wasn't a bit teary eyed I was grinning watching the aerial imagery. There is even a few seconds of historic footage with a Boein P-12 taking off from Van Nuys airport.

We also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the director and producer Brian Terwilliger who was very passionate and insightful, and just an all around nice guy.

If have any interest in aviation you owe it to yourself to see this film. I bought a DVD so I can watch it over again and share it with my family. Here's a link to the website for One Six Right.

I was at the 7pm showing Thursday evening. It was great to hear from Terwilliger. I bought a DVD while I was there and had him sign it. One Six Right is an amazing film. I was teary eyed at times, myself. All the historic aircraft, the truly spectacular footage, and the great stories of the way it once was are all very moving. It really is a love story. It may be a documentary, but it really watches more like a movie. It was also kind of cool to see the FSX trailer on a big screen in HD. Terwilliger even commented on how realistic some of the shots looked.
