Having problems uninstalling Office 2010, 2007, or 2003 from the Control Panel? Use the Fix it Tool
To ensure that your Office 2010 installation works smoothly and efficiently, we recommend that before installing Office 2010, you uninstall any earlier versions of Office that may still reside on your computer. If you find that uninstalling these versions cannot be done effectively from the Control Panel, then use the Fix it tool. Be sure to use the Fix it Tool version that is designed for the particular Office suite (Office 2010 released/beta/trial versions, Office 2007, Office 2003) that you are uninstalling.

Hi Radrook, I'm sorry you're having issues. I need some specific information from you. The product ID you mention, is it for Office 2010, 2007, 2003?, or is it for Windows? Did you purchase your PC from a licensed store (in person or online), or was it from a private third-party? Do you know what the license agreement for Office was when you purchased the PC? If you have a licensed edition of Office, you should have a product key and you should be able to use the Fix it Tool to uninstall and then re-install Office. Then you would re-apply the product key. Whenever I try to save my work in rtf or doc format the computer sends it the Microsoft office word processor which is locked and doesn't accept my product ID. I tried to uninstall it but it gives me the installation corrupted message and refuses to uninstall. If I do my work in Abi Word and save in rtf or doc it shifts it over to the inaccessible Microsoft Office The same happens with the Microsoft Word. It seems as if they tweaked it so that the owner of the computer MUST buy the Microsoft Office. In any case, it sure is causing havoc with my submission potential. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kind Regards radrook2@aol.comAnonymous
