Are you a Hardcore Dev or IT Pro who wants training? Win a Pluralsight subscription!

Microsoft are giving away a Pluralsight ‘hardcore developer training’ Annual Plus subscription (valued USD $499) to one lucky New Zealand Dev or IT Pro this December.

Pluralsight is home to more than 1000 IT and Dev courses, on demand, whenever you’re free to learn, anytime, anywhere.

We’re not just going to hand this subscription over to you, we want you to have a play around and complete a new web site deployment in Windows Azure first.

Competition runs from 6th November 2013 to 15th December 2013

How to get started!

1. Get access to Windows Azure through either;

i.  A free 3-month Windows Azure trial or
ii. An Azure Subscription associated with an MSDN account
iii. A paid Windows Azure subscription

2. Once you’ve got access, you can head on over to the Azure dashboard to login to https://manage.windowsazure.com

3. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll now need to deploy a web site to the Windows Azure websites service. Here are some of the ways you can deploy your website.

From the Windows Azure Websites Gallery:

4. When you have completed your website deployment, you’ll need to email us on msdnnz@microsoft.com with your live ID and your website link (it will contain azurewebsites.net in the URL) so we can check to make sure you’ve completed the task.

5. That’s all there is to it, we will then enter you into the random draw to win the Pluralsight Annual Plus subscription.
