Look who's Blogging!
Vinayak Tadas a Commerce Server developer just started blogging about CS tidbits. Really useful stuff and if you use Commerce Server for any sort of development work or are involved in it's deployment and maintenance, you will definitely want to watch his blog. Great to see Commerce Server alive and kicking on the blogging front as well. I do believe that we have to tidy up our community participation and this seems to be a step in the right direction. Welcome Vinayak to the wonderful world of blogging!
Haven't posted in a while - we have been heads down on getting Feature Pack 1 for Commerce Server 2002 ready - it is looking terrific now and it will be interesting to get feedback on how customers actually find it (EAP customers seem real happy!). Among the top customer requests was a desperately needed replacement for Business Desk, our management UI which was a bunch of ASP pages and was SLOW. So we have created 2 brand new WinForm applications that customers can use for managing Catalogs and Discounts. Even though you still need BizDesk for certain things (such as schema editing of the catalogs) a major chunk of the work has been ported to the UIs with more functionality and much better internationl support. Coming very soon!
And among other news, Microsoft Solution for Internet Business 2.5 (a.k.a MSIB 2.5) just released to web (RTW) as well. Among other additions it contains Windows 2003 support and an updated extensive Prescriptive Architecture Guidance (PAG). Enjoy!
