    Today the Exchange Team released Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 (KB2866475). This update raises Exchange 2010 version number to 14.3.158.1.

    Great, this rollup breaks Automatic Updates if you haven conveniently left 1.45GB of Exchange SP3 exploded in it's original installation location. You have to re-download and explode the Service Pack and then run the installation manually to get it to install. I thought the massively disc consuming Win-SXS folder was supposed to sort this sort of thing? Very frustrating...

    Rob, while I ran into the same problem, I could download the MSP, launch that, then point it where I stored the exploded SP3 installation source. As it turned out I had SP3 exploded, but I moved it.

    Yup, I've had to do the same thing on multiple servers. Sure, it's an easy enough workaround but it's annoying as it breaks Automatic Updates.

    After I've applied the .msp, Exchange version is still showing 14.3.123.4. The rollup 2 is listed under installed updates and installation went fine. Any ideas?

    I forgot to add that it apparently should show 14.3.158.1 after the rollup.
