Neudesic takes Smart Meter Analytics to the Hybrid Cloud!

Seems like a day doesn’t pass when we have yet another announcement about a key industry solution moving to the cloud and yesterday was no exception. We are delighted to see that our partner Neudesic has announced the availability of its Smart Meter Analytics Solution. What’s really exciting about this announcement is Neudesic’s solution utilizes a hybrid cloud architecture which combines on-premises SQL Server, our BI Platform and the Azure Cloud that easily scales as Big Data demands grow while ensuring personally identifiable information (PII) data is still protected on-premises. The solution also uses Azure HDInsight which is our 100% Apache Hadoop-based service in the cloud which provides the ability to process massive amounts of data from existing meter data management systems (MDM). This is more than just a marketing announcement as Neudesic has implemented the solution at a large Utility company where they have leveraged Azure Cloud to reduce the processing time and costs associated with smart meter Big Data.
