The new authoring tools are here!

We announced our new tools for building management packs in Operations Manager back at MMS but ran into some delays in making them publically available.  The wait is now over.  The Visio Management Pack Designer and Visual Studio Authoring Extensions are now available in the Download Center.

Documentation for the VMPD and VSAE is available in the TechNet Wiki.  Traffic there has been relatively slow since the tools themselves weren't available.  We of course expect that to now change now.

Just downloaded this and created what I think is a very simple MP. First, I dropped a Server Role object onto the MP, and I guess it created the wrong type of connection, so I had to use a health rollup connection. Then I dropped a Windows Event Monitor object and connected it to the server role. The event monitor is looking at System, Netlogon (5807). The server role is using a WMI query 'Select * from Win32_OperatingSystem Where CSNAME = "dc1"'. It checks OK, but when I click build I get the following: Exception: The given key was not present in the dictionary. Any thoughts on what I am missing?
