How Surface can cure what ails doctors

Dr. Nick Patel of Palmetto Health wanted to use a tablet at work to allow him to manage patient info on the go, improve his productivity and provide patients with more personal care. So he bought an iPad.

But almost immediately, he began to see where the device fell short.

"The problem with the iPad is it just doesn't have the horsepower ... you also have to go to a remote sign on, which is extremely slow," he says.

The answer? He switched to Microsoft Surface and found his daily rounds would never be the same.
