I don't the following statement at all:"Because of the level of control that you have with VMs, you can run a wide range of server workloads on Azure that don’t fit into a PaaS model—such as database servers, Windows Server Active Directory, and Microsoft SharePoint. "I don't think these are good examples at all, azuresql,azuread work quite well and who cares about SharePoint.What point is this statement trying to make.thanks- Anonymous

I suppose that what they are trying to state is that althought the PaaS model has great advantages (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/what-is-paas/) not all needs fit into what PaaS provides, in which case you still have the option to get back to what most of us are anyway used to such as VMs, networking, etc (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/overview/what-is-iaas/)
