Why doesn’t the MAP Toolkit report the “Number of Cores”?

Summary:

When you generate a MAP report that has the “Number of Cores” columns, you may notice these columns are empty. This is a problem that exists on Windows 2003 and Windows XP systems, since these operating systems shipped before multiple cores existed. A hotfix is available for Windows XP and Windows 2003 to address the problem.
