Visual Studio Management Pack Authoring Series - Part 1 - Download pre-requisites

Lets start off by making sure we have Visual Studio and the Visual Studio Authoring extensions installed.

Note

  • Visual Studio 2015 is NOT supported (as of August 2015) but Microsoft have released a Community Edition of Visual Studio 2013 which works with the Authoring extensions.

  • Make sure you read and abide by the licensing but the community Edition does work (despite the official documentation stating you need Visual Studio 2013 Professional or Ultimate).
