Revolutionizing the Newsletter...
Most newsletters are boring, aren't they? As Mike Guzzo (on my team) says, "they are so 90's."
Yet, MSFT continues to inundate our customers and partners with them. They are, frequently, multi-page long compilations of the interests of many different groups. As a result, they don't add much value.
To give you some data on this, the Public Sector Partner newsletter has 1300 subscribers. Last month, there were 55 clicks. Yes, you read that right.
The good news for me, with that data, is aside from putting the "F-word" on every line, there's not much I can do to make the situation any worse. Here's the last version
So, here's the plan.
The newsletter's objective is to drive attendance to the next Community Call (aka WIN-What's Important Now) on Dec. 4th. (register here), so I've cut it down from 3 pages to 1/2 a page, removed a lot of text, put a face in (ok, mine--but that's how you build community, IMHO--by having an accountable, REAL, person on the other side). Here's the DRAFT.
I'm VERY open to feedback. It's going out 11/28.
