Raindrop: Blogroll This
Raindrop is the new group blog (RSS, OPML - blogrolled) of the Social Computing Group in Microsoft Research. You can expect regular posts by some of the brightest stars in the Microsoft constellation: the inimitable Lili Cheng, Sean Kelly, Shelly Farnsworth, and many others.
The MSR Social Computing Group's Community Technology Group is a hive of frantic activity this spring. Check out this itinerary:
- Microsoft Research TechFest -- March 2-3, Microsoft Conference Center, Redmond, WA
An amazing, two day smorgasbord of scintillating ideas presented in a trade show format (100's of booths) by some of the maddest scientists in the world. TechFest really is one of the most compelling reasons to work at Microsoft. It is one of the on-campus event highlights of the year. - Co-Sponsoring the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (ETCON) -- March 14-17, San Diego
A conference tailor made for me. - MSR Social Computing Symposium 2005!
Attendees and presenters at last year's Social Computing Symposium included (little 'd') danah Boyd, Clay Shirky, Tim O'Reilly, Marc Canter, Joi Ito, David Weinberger, Ze Frank, Liz Lawley, and on and on. The only folks I really missed were Howard Rheingold, Cory Doctorow, and Sebastien Paquet.
