Jan boots Solaris on the new intel iMac
so there's a wierd title for post on msdn blogs... my friend Jan (from Purdue) works at Sun, and it seems he's gotten the new Intel based iMac to boot something called "Solaris Nevada"... which is hopefully less of a gamble than other things you can do in Nevada. ;-)
In any case... interesting to see the ripple effects of boot-camp across desktop computing... it really makes it feel like they're just out to sell boxes above anything else...
I should point at this point that just because this blog is hosted on blogs.msdn.com, doesn't mean that what I'm saying in my posts represent the "official opinion" of Microsoft. This is especially true in the case of this entry.

I think it misses the point that "it makes it feel like they're just out to sell boxes above anything else." If that were true, they'd go the commodity route.
There is a broader plan at work here, methinks. Though I've never seen this blog before, I suspect many are on the same page: I hope you keep underestimating.
