Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute provides a faster data connection

Now you can bypass the Internet when connecting to the Microsoft Cloud.  Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute is a switch fabric that enables connections to Microsoft's cloud computing datacenters in a way that bypasses the public Internet.  Partners providing this service will be AT&T, Verizon, BT, and Equinix.  Still in preview, this service will allow for higher workloads, quality of service, and increased security through VPN tunneling.
