Think Week for a Developer Marketplace
I was lured. Each year, Bill Gates retires with a stack of “think week” papers to get a sense of what some new ideas might be. This year, I was lured into working on one by one of my coworkers who’d heard about the Tuscany ideas and thought there was an opportunity to broaden the marketplace one.
So first I have to say, the timing stinks. I have four reviews coming up in the next two weeks, two with my VP, two with a group of general managers. Second, I have to say that actually writing a document that explains what I was thinking vs. creating a slide deck to which I can talk and do the magical hand wave is remarkably harder than I remember.
