Attack the Critical Plague of Cat Typing

Via Fark: PawSense -- catproof your computer. My favorites:

  • "PawSense analyzes keypress timings and combinations to distinguish cat typing from human typing."
  • "If a cat gets on the keyboard, PawSense makes a sound that annoys cats. This teaches your cat that getting on the keyboard is bad even if humans aren't watching"

I love the idea that you can teach a cat anything more than, "This is your cat box" or "Feeding time happens at N-o'clock every day."

PawSense has been around since the dawn of computing ;-)  Check out the system requirements in the FAQ: "Even on a computer with only 16 megabytes of RAM" ... which was the amount of RAM that power users installed to run Windows 95.  I hate cats (allergic), but love the idea behind this software, and the sense of humor of the authors - don't miss the FAQ question "My cat is deaf. Can you help me?"
