I Won't Be Here Tomorrow...

I won't be here at my office tomorrow because I will be participating the in the United Way of King County Day of Caring. What is the Day of Caring you ask?

Well, its a chance to join thousands of your friends, neighbors and colleagues on Friday, September 12 for an all-county day of volunteering. It's a fun way to make a huge difference in just one day. Last year, more than 7,000 volunteers from nearly 120 companies came together to change our community for the better in one day.

Day of Caring is our chance to make a lasting impact in our community. It's a fun day of community service for volunteering to improve local schools, nonprofits and parks in King County. A group might build affordable housing, spruce up a day care center or repair a hiking trail.

This year we have more Microsoft volunteers signing up than ever! My project filled up in about a week. Swing by Crossroads of Bellevue around noon if you are around and about Seattle tomorrow. The Microsoft Jazz Band will be on main stage talking about the United Way Day of Caring and serving up some tasty jazz.
