I would say there is some of that but the people with some vision have taken the medium and made it their own platform for communicating with the various communities.

    I've always been on the fence about Twitter. At first it just seemed so useless but as time goes on I keep coming across things like this and they are beginning to change my perceptions about the service. I think I may end up utilizing Twitter for my small business soon.
