JetStress: Tuning process adjusts the operation mix to achieve normal ratios of read/writes.
The tuning process will also try to adjust the following ratios with insert, delete, and replace option mixes. If it cannot reach optimal mix, the test would still continue with the best parameters it can find. Following are the additional guidelines that Jetstress tries to achieve during the tuning process.
· Database disk read/sec to disk write/sec is 3:2 to 2:1.
· Database disk transfer I/O to Log disk transfer I/O is 8:1 to 12:1.
· Log disk bytes /write should be is within 6 to 8 K.

Sorry, Hmlee.
I ran JetStress performance Test for pre-deployment of MS Exchange 2003.I need your suggestion badly.
I set up performance monitor in normal manner to measure processor and memory. However, I really need your instruction for the above-mentioned. I don't understand where those counters coming from?
I went to database object which gives me JetStressUI to select. That's great. But I couldn't find any of those counters you had mentioned. Please help at your earliest convenience. Thanks a lot. - Anonymous

There are two types of storages: non-NAS and NAS.
For non-NAS storages, you will use 'LogicalDisk' Performance objects.
For database disk drives, you will read "Disk Reads/sec" and "Disk Writes/sec" to find Database Read/Write ratio.
For database disk drives and log drives, you will read Disk Transfers/sec for both of them to find Database/Log IO ratio.
For log disk drives, you will read "Avg. Disk Bytes/Write" to find "Log Disk Bytes/Write".
For NAS storages, you will use "Database" and "Database ==> Instances" Performance objects. - Anonymous
