Preservation Lock in Data Retention Policies - Modern Workplace Tips
In this edition of Modern Workplace Tips I follow up on a Michael on the Go episode where I discussed the use of Preservation Lock and demonstrate how to implement it. Preservation Lock is a powerful feature in #Office365 where an organization may need to comply with rules defined by regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rule 17a-4, which requires that after a preservation policy is turned on, it cannot be turned off or made less restrictive.
Setting up Preservation Locks should be done judiciously with much thought but are easy to implement once the decision has been made. You can see my preceding video “Preservation Lock and Data Retention Policies - Michael on the Go” here https://youtu.be/m1szRStxodE
