Do you see a rabbit or a smiling face?

Personally, I do not see anything special on this picture of the moon!

Many Chinese and Japanese people see a rabbit instead of a smiling face and they believe it is making rice cakes (mochi). Maybe this is because the word “mochizuki “has two meanings in Japanese: “making rice cakes“ or “full moon“. Click here to see exactly where the rabbit is.

When I was in 1st grade on Okinawa a Japanese lady used to come to our school and tells us stories. She told us about the rabbit in the moon making rice cakes...that was about 42 yrs ago. I have seen the rabbit in the moon ever since that day. I now tell the story to my grandchildren.
