WSS 3.0 / SharePoint 2007 Version Table

A lot of time my customers have asked me how to find the current version of their running instances of WSS 3.0 / SharePoint 2007 linked to the service packs / patches which are applied. So let me put the same for everyone, this table as below shows the version and build numbers for WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007.

The version of the current installation can easily be looked up in the Central Administration: Operations > Topology and Services > Servers in farm.
