3rd Annual Microsoft Government Contractor Summit Update

It was a busy few weeks leading up to the 3rd Annual Government Contractor Summit so I have been remiss in posting.  I did want to do a few posts to share some of the highlights of the event.  This years Summit received the highest marks of any event we have done to date.  Much in part as to the high quality of content and ability to network throughout the day.

The event began with a keynote discussion highlighting key technology opportunities coming out of the Obama Administration.  Carolyn Brubaker, who is the Director of Strategic Policy and Programs provided interesting insights into how government contractors can best serve key agencies and where there is major focus from agency leadership. There was high interest in cloud computing and new Microsoft Datacenter built to meet Federal standards.

Ms. Brubaker shared with the group how Microsoft Public Sector has aligned around key initiatives and took several questions from the audience on how to best partner with Microsoft around these issues.  Her business card was very much in demand following the session.  Here is a slide taken from her deck showing what the Strategic Policies and Programs Team is focused on.
