Using Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1 and MSDTC on Clusters

In order to allow Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1 to talk to a remote MSDTC located in a cluster, the security level for MSDTC needs to be set to "Incoming Caller Authentication Required".     Both windows xp,sp2 and Windows 2003,sp1 supportsMutual authentication,so why we have to lower this security to "Incoming Caller Authentication Required",Why Mutual authentication won't work?

    This is due to a limitation on how clusters work. When you talk to a cluster, you talk to a static IP address, that "hides" the real machine you are talking to.
