Double-byte text is transparent in desktop alerts on a computer that is running Windows XP and that has Lync 2010 installed

INTRODUCTION

On a computer that is running Windows XP and that has Microsoft Lync 2010 installed, double-byte text (for example, Korean or Japanese text) in desktop alerts is transparent. Therefore, users cannot see the text.
