Question of the day: Engine with the highest power/weight ratio?
Who makes the engine (ie an engine with an output shaft that you could use to drive a pump or something...) with the highest power/weight ratio, and what is that engine used for?

It is a 'Wankel' made by "Moller International' in Davis, California. It is sold for other uses, but it was developed for the 'Sky Car'. They have tours on Thursday afternoons. (make a reservation). The tour is great fun. - Anonymous

According to Epson, it's their miniature flying robot's 'acoustic' motor.

I'm going to guess it's the drive motor in an ultra-small hard drive. - Anonymous

This guy claims the Zanzottera MZ202 has the highest power-to-weight ratio "on the market today."

I have no idea what the right answer is, but Eric asked for an engine not a motor in his question. Maybe he was trying to give a hint.
There's a tradition that things called "motors" are powered by electricity, and those things called "engines" are internal combustion devices. There's no strict rule about this, of course. - Anonymous

Tommy is right. It isn't an electrical motor.
There's another hint in the post. - Anonymous
