Prior to installing SP3, we could access a Portal with the Public Host Name. After we installed SP3 and subsequently rollup1 the only way to access the Portal is to include the "Path" of the Portal with the Public Host Name. If you log out of the Portal and use the web page displayed to log back into the Portal it will not work because the URL does not include the "Path" for the Portal. Is there a configuration that changed that can be modified to change the behavior so the Portal can be accessed without the path? Or is this a bug?Anonymous

WHY IS THIS PRODUCT SO COMPLICATED TO CONFIGURE? Why can't you use normal terminology that makes sense? What is the purpose of all the lingo and cryptic documentation? Don't you want people to use your product? Are you purposely trying to make it difficult to use?Anonymous

After applying this update or Cumulative Update 1 the entire configuration is missing from the UAG, and you can't restore from a backup because the schema is different (thank goodness for snapshots). Has anyone else experienced this behavior?Anonymous

I'm having the same problem as you Jacob Benson. I didn't install it in my production environment yet ´cos I'm looking for a solution to this problem. I really need to install SP3 R1 because is a pre-req to install the SP4.Anonymous

Jacob - had same issue as you. make sure to do full activations between updates. ie one after tmg-sp2ru4, one after sp3ru1, etc. it should work fine after that, but if not, you should be able to import the old config using UAGSchemaUpgradeUtil in the Program FilesMicrosoft Forefront Unified Access Gatewaycommonbin folder
