Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 Goes Virtual

Hello GP Partners and Customers,

I wanted to make sure you are aware of the new GP Virtualization Policy as many of you have been asking about this for a long time and it is finally here.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 supports both Microsoft Soft-Grid Application Virtualization and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Server (Hyper-V) Virtualization: Click Here for additional information. This is for production and/or test environments.

It is important to note that our implementations should still conform to the system requirements recommended for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0:

1. GP 10 System Requirements and

2. GP 10 Web System Requirements: For the virtual layer(s) within which Microsoft Dynamics GP components are installed.

Additionally, any virtualization products that a Customer or Partner wishes to have tested for compatibility and supported, should enter those requests in the Suggestion database located Here. If not currently listed, customers should follow the same guidelines as non-Microsoft virtualization software and have a non-virtual environment available for testing and troubleshooting any issues to rule out the virtual environment as the cause of the issues.
