Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 User Integration - Management Reporter 2012 Feature Highlight

One of the challenges facing many organizations is managing users across applications. With Management Reporter 2012, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 users are brought automatically into Management Reporter based on the company access and permissions in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

    hi, this is a nice feature however, on doing a test install of MR 2012 RU4 with AX 2012. I dont see my AX users integrating into MR. I had to still manually assign an AX user to be a user in MR. I had ensured that at least one user is assigned to the proper roles in AX. Am I missing some setup? Thank you.

    When you say "manually assign," what do you mean? As long as you used the predefined Dynamics AX roles, this should work as expected.

    Hello, Thanks for replying. Meaning adding the AX user in MR Designer>>Go>>Security>>new user>>search the user and manually assign it with an MR Role. Yes - had tested this using a pre-defined ax role i.e. accountant or accounting manager etc. I didnt see those users getting integrated into MR. When does it happen? during initial integration? Can you manually push it? Thank you!

    Jeff Can I suggest that you contact Microsoft Support on this? If a Dynamics AX user has the Accountant role, they should be automatically set up in Management Reporter as a Designer. If that is not the case, they can help you troubleshoot the integration. Char
