windows 7 wednesday tip – winsat.exe

in windows 7 you have a performance information and tools in control panel that can rate the various subsystems in your computer.  the program that runs these assessments is winsat.exe.  it’s a command line utility so you can actually run individual assessments yourself.  for example i just ran winsat disk on my laptop with a traditional hard drive

i’ll update this post with information on my favorite laptop performance improvement – a solid state hard drive shortly.

    I don't see an update....I would be interested in what the difference was between the traditional hard drive and the solid state.
