MSDN Webcast: Creating Microsoft Office 2010 Add-Ins Using SharePoint 2010 as a Data Source
A common request for developers is to surface internal Microsoft SharePoint data within the Microsoft Office client applications. This allows users to interact with SharePoint list data in the direct context of their document editing experience. In this free MSDN webcast, I discuss how to create these kinds of solutions and help you understand what kinds of benefits you can bring to users. Learn how to use the SharePoint client object model and the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Data Services (REST APIs) to access Microsoft SharePoint 2010 data and present the data in Microsoft Office 2010 add-ins. You’ll need to register using your Windows Live ID. (I’ll have the source code available in a later post.)
Enjoy!
