April Fool: Bring your Bathing Costumes to Stampede in Fargo
You have probably heard that there is going to be a combined sales and technical conference in Fargo, North Dakota, USA on the 10th to 12th November 2014.
While the name for the conference is still not 100% confirmed, a lot of people like the idea of going back to our Great Plains roots and bringing back the name "Stampede".
Please see the blog articles below from Pam Misialek and myself on the topic:
Speaking with Pam, she explained that even though this conference is in early November, the plan in future is for this annual combined sales and technical conference is to have it earlier in the "Fall" timeframe (for those of you outside the USA, this refers to the Northern Hemisphere Autumn season). In future the conference will most likely occur in the month of September, but due to venue availability will be in November this year.
Now, as you know, Fargo gets very cold. Usually the snow starts around November and the last winter was really harsh starting earlier and lasting longer.
To take your minds off the freezing cold world outside the hotel venues and allow you to relax in comfortable surroundings, it has been decided that the conference sessions will be held in the water park facilities of both the Holiday Inn (Shipwreck Bay Water Playland) and Ramada Plaza Suites (Coconut Cove Waterpark).
Holiday Inn: Shipwreck Bay Water Playland
Ramada: Coconut Cove Waterpark
So please make sure you bring your bathers as they will be required for entrance to the conference facilities. If you forget, loaner bikinis and mankinis will be available in a variety of sizes and fluorescent colours (Apologies in advance if they are still damp from the previous person who used them).
Looking forward to a great conference and seeing all of you.
David

I really enjoy the April Fool's Day pranks, but have to admit, there's no way you will get me in a mankini in a pool in November! MG.-Anonymous
