  I've started evolving it, finally. Now it automatically loads <canvas renderMethod="auto"></canvas> or <canvas renderMethod="silverlight"></cavnas> in any browser, no manual scripting required. http://www.jondavis.net/techblog/post/2010/02/21/SLCanvas-Now-Canvas-Tag-Support.aspx
