Windows 7 RC available to the public
Last week, we released the Windows 7 Release Candidate to TechNet and MSDN subscribers. Today, May 5, 2009, its now available for everyone to download and try. Remember, even though it’s fairly stable, you want to really be careful installing this on a machine that you have production files or original files on. Always make backups of your data when testing an operating system.
If you installed the Win7 Beta and you want to install the Win7 RC on top of it, it can be done provided you follow the instructions outlined in a post by one of the Windows 7 developers. The instructions work…at least on my machine it does. <wink-wink, nudge-nudge>.
Excelsior!
