We will be holding the next Melbourne BizTalk User Group Meeting on Thursday 20th July 2006 at 6:00pm

The Topic for this meeting is EDI and the presentations are:

Nic Barden of Bryn Systems Presenting information on some work he has been doing around building an EDI interface for BizTalk 2004 with Pipeline components.  This is a must for anyone working with EDI.  Nic will cover the following item.

- XML reader and writer classes and how they work
- EDI reader and writer classes and how they have been implemented to follow the System.Xml class design
- Base BizTalk messaging streams and how they have been implemented to perform translation of data, validation of data etc.
- EDI streams and how they have been implemented to follow the BizTalk XML stream class design, and how this allows translation to/from EDI data
- EDI assembler/disassembler components and how they interact with the base EDI stream classes to provide BizTalk with EDI/XML translation capabilities in a streaming manner

** Also quickly discuss
- The issues of the base EDI adapter (and in some cases the Covast adapter) and how I aim to overcome these issues.
