SharePoint Tidbit - The future of Office Mix Add-in and Mix.Office.com

Hello All,

On October 20, 2017, Microsoft announced Office Mix is becoming a part of PowerPoint and we are retiring Office Mix. Office Mix is a free add-in for PowerPoint 2013/PowerPoint 2016 and a service that helps people create and share interactive videos. The roadmap for the replacement of the features that Office Mix provided is as follows.

Here are some upcoming milestones you should be aware of:

10/20/2018 - Announcements, Migration experience is enabled at Mix.office.com, and email went out to users about downloading data

1/1/2018 - Add-in is removed from site and new users cannot sign up

5/1/2018 - Site will be discontinued, links to site will fail

This article is available it describes the retirement as well as next steps that both Consumer and Commercial users should take to either download or migrate their Mixes.

The engineering team will continue to monitor the https://officemix.uservoice.com forum for questions from customers about the migration.
