Rock and Roll and more of those little hidden boxes...
Last night I went with my wife and a friend to see Santana in concert (also why I missed blogging yesterday). Carlos Santana is an amazing guitar player. He played the classics and some tunes I was not familiar with. I told my wife about 1/2 way through that I would like to see Michelle Branch show up and sing the song she recorded with Santana. It didn't happen.
Today, my wife and I did a 3 mile hike through the Redmond Watershed Preserve looking for letterboxes. These letterboxes are some of the older ones in the area and part of a series that I was interested in finding. We went 3 for 5 this round but I didn't mind not finding the two we missed. The whole hike was amazing. Walking through trees that were a hundred years old and seeing the massive stumps of trees that were 2-300 years old when they were logged at the turn of the previous century. We met several people on horseback and a few other hikers along the way. We could have hiked further, but we started late today and didn't bring our normal water and munchy supplies.
btw...I am heading to Vegas next week for some team meetings (poor me!). I have already looked up some letterboxes in the canyons near Las Vegas and would be happy to meet up with some locals to take a hike to find them.
Cheers!
