Los Alamos whistle-blower gets $$$

I’m actually really happy to read
about this.  I’d read an earlier article that described how this guy
was sent to Los Alamos, and his *job*
was to look for problems and misconduct – and when he found and reported it,
they fired him.  (Sure, they meant to buy engineering equipment, but their fingers
slipped on the keyboard and they accidentally typed “Ford Mustang” into
the order form…)

From everything I’ve read about it, they got a really raw deal from Los Alamos;
and worse, from their own superiors at the FBI.  I’m happy to see them
get a little back, and hopefully this will prompt the lab to improve its procedures
in the future.
