But wouldn't a jacket imply that it's cold, and hence there's not a lot of energy coming from the sun? I mean, wouldn't it make more sense it if were a hat or something that you wear when it's actually sunny?

See, you may think you're a geek if you buy one of these, but you're not really. You're really a geek if you don't buy one, and just point out all the flaws in their design ;-)
