Microsoft Boston is Expanding with the Grand Opening of the Microsoft New England Campus

Today, we are happy to announce the expansion of Microsoft’s New England campus in Cambridge, including a new state-of-the-art Microsoft Technology Center (MTC).

Located at One Cambridge Center in Kendall Square, the expanded campus is Microsoft’s new home for sales, marketing, services and advertising employees, with the New England Research and Development (NERD) facility at One Memorial Drive only a stone’s throw away. The two facilities will be known as the New England Microsoft campus and will host more than 850 New England-based employees.

The campus will also bring together industry leaders and technology experts, including our 3,000 partners across New England to envision and develop customized business solutions based on both Microsoft and partner technologies.

The new MTC is one of the most progressively designed offices in the region, providing:

  • New training and collaboration spaces with rooms for training and hands-on experience with technology.
  • An Envisioning Center that allows employees to have a “day in the life” experience using technology to simulate as if they are in another country, in an office environment, in a lab or working from home.
  • Real-life role-based scenarios that come to life with stage settings, multimedia and state-of-the art technologies.

The expanded campus represents our commitment to the greater Boston region as a center of innovation excellence, and a sign of growth in the tech and innovation sectors. We look forward to enriching our relationships in the tech community and beyond, and encourage both the tech and academic communities to visit our campus.
