BizSpark member Sales Temperature’s new application leverages Azure to empower small businesses to rapidly increase revenue and forecast for the future
Founded in 2014 by Jeff Wadsworth, Sales Temperature is a Denver based software company specializing in retail sales forecasting and sales analytics. Users simply enter sales statistics at the end of each workday, and Sales Temperature’s application develops customized sales comparisons and future sales forecasts. The application’s new Market Analysis feature also compares revenue and cost metrics of the user’s business against industry competition in their market area.
“Our goal is for Sales Temperature to become part of a business manager’s everyday routine,” says Wadsworth, “We noticed that businesses in the prerelease program, after only a few days, would trust the forecasting information to the point of making staffing adjustments based on the daily forecasts, which had an immediate positive impact on their labor costs.” He adds, “Sales Temperature is unique in that cutting edge technology like this has never before been available to small retail businesses. We want to help guide small businesses into a new arena of growth and profit forecasting.”
A Microsoft BizSpark member, Sales Temperature uses Azure technologies for their application’s solution. Hosted entirely Azure using Web Apps and Azure SQL, Sales Temperature’s solution is an ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS, ASP.NET Web API web site. The company utilizes Machine Learning for sales forecasting and Web Jobs to process nightly tasks for gathering data, sales predictions, and email notifications.
Sales Temperature has been extremely pleased with the functionality of the Azure platform, says Wadsworth. “The simplicity and scalability of Azure has helped increase our time to market by at least tenfold. We are very pleased with our decision to develop on Azure and would recommend it to anyone.”
Improve your sales, gain a competitive market advantage, and receive customized forecasts of your future successes with Sales Temperature.
