Walmart is ready for product ads on the Yahoo! Bing Network, are you?

Last month we announced that product ads will be available in Q3 of this year in the United States. So that advertisers can prepare for this exciting new ad format, product ads is currently available in the API sandbox environment; the API documentation is available on MSDN. There is also sample code in C#,  Java and PHP

In the past month we’ve begun testing with a select group of retail advertisers and have begun to get some great feedback on the product. One of the advertisers we’ve been working with is Walmart whose product is shown in the screenshot below in a search for “xbox 360”

If you are a Bing Ads API customer who is interested in product ads, we strongly recommend that you try out the API and give us your feedback via the Bing Ads development forum or through your account manager.

For retail advertisers who want to be prepared for the launch of product ads, a prerequisite is setting up a store in the Bing Merchant Center. See our documentation on Bing Shopping - submitting a feed to us directly to learn how to do this. In addition, we recommend retail advertisers to contact your account manager or stay tuned to the Bing Ads blog for more information on about specific release timing.
