Presenting SOA @ Austrian E|GOV Days '04

The Austrian e|GOV days will take place in Vienna during March 15th-16th. There is a huge potential in electronically dealing with governments and administrations. However, it’s tremendous important to manage information confidentially and to ensure and enforce all the legal processes. E-voting and e-registrations are only two examples of possible services a government could (should) offer to its citizens.

This will be the starting point for my talk about Service Oriented Architecture. I’m going to explain how governments, citizens as well as companies can leverage the service oriented architecture for their collaboration. Confidentiality, loosely coupling and reliability are only a few of the qualities an e-government has to offer to its clients.

It was a great talk - congratulations!

From our perspective, the conference was a success, the SOA has been confirmed in all technical speeches even by proponents of the sometimes very different viewpoints we expierence in the public sector.
