Are You Ready?

When I enter the office each morning I usually have a look into my postbox which is located along the way. This morning I found a letter of our Vice President EMEA and the latest issue of a German business magazine. This should be a reminder that on 29th of April, Microsoft launched a new campaign which is called "people-ready business".

It is a campaign covering print and also tv media and it's all around putting the people in all the businesses into the center of attention. Of course Microsoft has been a company creating people productivity software for decades now and therefore the people always were in the focus of Microsoft.

However to realize that people drive business success, drive connections, innovation and relationships and above that to focus on to give those people the right tools so that they can even better contribute and perform in all those areas is quite unique in a market where usually topics like cost reduction, offshoring and outsourcing are in the center of discussion. And funny enough I even would say that there is a close relation to the virtues of Web 2.0 which is user generated content, user generated value, communities and communication enabled by technology.

I think everyone ought to be ready - Are you ready?

The people-ready business!
