VB and the DSD...

As I was watching Soma's Channel9 video (https://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=134059), I felt reassured that our decision to make VB the default language (if all languages are installed) for applications on our design surface was validated.

Choosing a language is a personal choice. Therefore when we had to make the decision to default to a particular language for the tool, it was really hard. Even now customers state that we should have defaulted to a different language. Their rationale is that other languages are better suited for the development of web services over VB. I'm not convinced. Major parts of our Web references infrastructure was built by the same guys who built features for VB in VS2005; therefore, I'm sure that, if anything, they have a VB bias.

Well enough of my thoughts...
