OLD SEED MT3620 - Tenant Not Found

I have two of these SEED MT3620 Dev Kits. It has been a few years since I used them. After logging in and performing an OS update, I get a tenant not found. The tenant is there, at least I think it is the tenant I set up, but the device doesn't see it. I have spotted the other posts on this topic and performed the suggestions. The results are the same. :

Any suggestions? Or are these devices bricked?

@Sean Liming I understand that you have followed the similar threads for troubleshooting.

Could you confirm when you used azsphere tenant list command does it shoes the tenant which you have used for logging in to the device? What role does it have?
Did you try creating a new tenant? See Create an Azure Sphere tenant.

You have mentioned, they are old devices, Did you consider migrating? see Manage tenants if not done.

I decided to start a new thread. The original image that was on the unit and when I set up the tenant was from back in 2018. This was the pre-release with the beta SDK.

Nothing appears when azsphere tenant list is run. No results.

Tried creating a new tenant and it will not let me create a new tenant as expected:

"error: Failed to create an Azure Sphere tenant with your device, this may be because it was already claimed to a different Azure Sphere tenant."

A migrate option doesn't exist

Hi @Sean Liming ,

Our migration functionality was removed quite some time ago. Although your tenant will have been auto-migrated at this time, your access permissions will not.
I will explore to see if it is still possible to restore access or not and will update you once I have an answer.

Thanks. I am not sure how a tenant could be lost. Just for my understanding:

Where does the tenant reside? Is the tenant visible in my Azure portal? Or is this hidden in the background?

Can a kit be assigned a tenant without being claimed and development can still take place on the kit?

Hi @Sean Liming ,

Azure Sphere does not appear in portal as it is not an Azure Resource accessible via Azure Resource Manager, this will hopefully change in the near future, please keep an eye out for more details.

A kit is claimed to a tenant, once this has been performed, there is no mechanism available today to unclaim a kit and detach it from the tenant.

The reason you're unable to find your tenant is because it was migrated from the pre-release service and isn't visible through the normal mechanisms. As noted, we are looking into this matter for you and I'll update once I have more information.

Hello Alistair, sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I have very much the same problem.

I also have pre-release devkit that is tied to now non-existing Azure account. Is there any way how to migrate it to different account?
