How to authenticate azure front door URL with azure AD ?

Hi Team,

We are using azure Front Door for our website, behind azure FD we have configure azure app service where frontend code is deployed.
We want to authenticate the FD URL using Azure AD credentials , Please guide how we can implement this ?

Also, we tried authentication on the Azure App Service, after that when we hit the FD URL its asks for the the AD credentials.
Once credentials accepted FD URL re-directs to azure app service URL.

Please let us know how we can stop the re-directing of FD URL to azure app service URL

Thanks for the article, we followed the steps as mentioned in the article.
It is working but incognito mode on browser.

Please suggest if any further changes can be made to get it working in normal mode as well.

Thanks for the update.
I am glad we have good progress here.

This working in Incognito mode only seems strange.

Can you please confirm if you have cleared the cache and cookies in your default browser?

Did you get a chance to try it with a different browser?

Also, could you please try to repo the issue with a different machine and see if the issue prevails?

It is working now :)

Reason behind not working was, we already logged in to azure portal with azure AD credentials.
So Front Door URL not asking for the credentials.

Now it is working fine.

Just followed the github and I can't see where to edit the auth.json file. Am I missing this in the Azure portal?
