    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Currently there is no such API could create a desktop shortcut programmatically in UWP. You could drag the app from start menu to desktop directly, it will generate a shortcut automatically. Or press Win+R and input "shell:AppsFolder" -> click OK -> choose the uwp app and Right-click it to create shortcut from the popup menu.
