Trying to figure out the printer ,block by edit group policy , they keep saying that allow LAN MAN WORKSTATION BUT IT IS MISSING

Please check in the windows registry for LanManWorkstation in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters]
And change the key "AllowInsecureGuestAuth" to 1
The other option is through GPO, if you need to expand the change to multiple machines:
GPO path: Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Network>Lanmanworkstation> Enable insecure guest logons = Enabled

If this is enabled this poses a security risk, what other options are available to allow this but keep the security threat of Man in the middle attacks at bay? The only option I have found is add users to localadmin account which again is not great. The Printers we are trying to share are USB shared via UNC paths..
